Fleeting Time

Oh Time....

Oft so fleeting,
I am wont to make you slower ~
And when you drag your hours by,
I wish they'd flying be.
What have I learned
In the occasions of my life?
When in the moment,
The lesson's frequently missed.
It is not until reflection
Pensing over past events,
That we reckon ~
And enlightened we become.
And then the choice emerges,
Whether to leave a memory behind,
Or to let it dwell in your mind
And hence, devour your soul
